By reducing pressure on the discs, traction helps relieve numbness, tingling, and nerve pain
Learn more about our service
Both lumbar and cervical traction can be used to manage radicular pain (pain generated by nerve roots at the spine that radiates into the arms or legs), numbness, or tingling caused by a number of conditions including disc herniations, degeneration or stenosis. Traction applies a stretching force to the spine, distracting individual joints and discs to relieve pressure on nerve roots and decrease symptoms. The amount of stretch and length of treatment are determined on a patient-by-patient basis to achieve the best results.
